Probably not, unless it wasn't crap and actually did something useful.

I learned a valuable lesson from the promotion pack fiasco. Buy only at retail when its 50% off price.

ANet can you deal with that!

You do all realise that Anet has to fund this game somehow, and the cost of the game alone isn't always enough to do that.

There is nothing wrong with selling stuff in a micro-payment fashion, because you don't NEED to buy them. Your not being deprived of anything which makes the game unplayable otherwise.

Your not missing out on armour or 99% of weapon skins.

What can you buy from the store...

1) Core skills pack which helps for creating new chars in pve and pvp, and accessing all skills earlier. Are you saying you'd rather they didn't sell that?

2) The weapons bonus pack, which allows a new char to have a max weapon from the word go. Would you rather they didn't sell that?

3) Unlocking all areas and items for pvp normal level. Big deal.. so that allows a newbie pvp players to have more choice. It makes it more fun and accessible

4) The BMP bonus pack... which offers 4 more short missions and some nice weapon skins and some lore!

Do you need any of those?
Can you not survive in game without them?

That is not a staggering number of micro-payment features. Your only talking about being able to buy all 3 campaigns, the expansion and 4 or 5 little tiny extra packs.

You all make it sound like Anet has suddenly started making EVERYTHING micro-payment and they haven't. You can access everything in game for free, as you always have. There just happens to be a tiny few little extras you could pay for if you felt you wanted to.

They help bring in a small amount of funding from players who have nothing else to buy once they own all the games. But its your choice! Stop winging about something which isn't that important.

Presuming the thread is still on topic (looks like it); I would consider buying them, certainly, although I'd prefer to get some idea of whether they'd be interesting first.

I'm about 90% sure that I would not "buy" (well... I got it free for buying EotN^^) another BMP if it had the same concept.

Let me give you one word....

YUP!

Lets see micropayments for GW have cost me $264.85 in total.

If I had to pay $14.95 per month, the cost of three campaigns, an expansion, and add-ons it would have cost me $713.35.

Needless to say, I will not complain about buying a minor add-on.

I definitely would buy additional BMP(s). Especially if they offered great-looking weapons like this one did. <3 teh Tengu Sword.

Hells yeah... i would buy more BMP - it was fun and i found that they were some of the more enjoyable missions overall.

Edited to remove comments about naysayers and whiners - decided I should keep the post on track and that you guys just weren't worth my time...

No. Probably not.

--The Bonus Missions are much too linear, dull, and one-dimensional: See rock. Throw rock at column. Run. Run very fast. Now play dead. Now run again. Run very fast. Sheesh.
--They are solo, playing a character that is not me. I like soloing, but with my choice of AI party and my choice of skills and my choice of my character.

If they were included with some other purchase that I wanted anyway (as in the case of EotN), that'd be fine. But I am sooooo glad I did not pay extra for these missions. To me, the bonus missions are a lot like polymock, I don't care if it's there as part of the regular game, but I'm not going to pay extra for it/them.

The only reason to play the missions is to get the weapons, in my opinion, not because they are fun.
